Use the busiest workday as the starting point
Explain overlapping trades, their hours and the indoor bathrooms they can genuinely use. A regular crew count can understate the need when additional people join a particular phase. Discuss toilets and washing from the actual working pattern, with the site team reviewing applicable sanitation requirements.
Keep the unit close without obstructing work
Choose a proposed position in relation to the crew’s route and active operations, then review the service approach separately. Stored materials and vehicles can change both. Agree how the rental team will be informed when the working area or staffing changes during the job.
Keep toilet access usable while the job changes
A useful position at the start of a renovation may become a material store, a fenced work area or a delivery lane later. Include the temporary facilities in site coordination discussions. Tell the rental contact when extra trades or a second work area are introduced; do not assume the opening arrangement remains suitable as the crew changes.
Include in the site briefing
- Identify the busiest period and which workers share the facilities.
- Give the crew a clear route that does not pass through restricted work.
- Discuss relocation with the provider before moving equipment yourself.
