Walk the approach before the vehicle arrives
Check the correct entrance, turns, gates, surface and overhead obstacles. Explain the proposed position and who can approve it on the day. If nobody will attend, ask whether an unattended arrangement is possible and what instructions the rental business requires.
Preserve access until the last visit
Keep materials, vehicles and temporary installations clear of the agreed route. Update the rental contact if site conditions change. Confirm pickup instead of simply stopping use, and do not attempt to lift or repair damaged equipment without appropriate instructions.
Check the exit plan before accepting delivery
Collection is part of the placement decision. Before equipment arrives, think about what will occupy the property at the end of the rental. A newly installed fence, finished landscaping or parked machinery may alter the approach. Tell the provider about planned changes so the position does not depend on a route that will later disappear.
Before delivery and before pickup
- Confirm who is allowed to approve the equipment position.
- Keep the approach and the proposed surface in the same conversation.
- Agree how to request help if the route changes unexpectedly.
